The Land Larder is a market garden started in 2018, a small acre plot nestled in the shadow of the Mendip hills.
With a love of growing and the outdoors starting a growing business was a natural progression, growing more & more veg it meant I could provide quality veg to sell.

All the photos here were taken from the plot in 2019.

It's just me

and Coco,

my constant

companion.

Using sustainable growing methods I use no pesticides or toxic chemicals. To nurture the soil I home compost, add animal manures (keeping chickens means I have a constant supply), I use green manures and crop rotate, all help to improve the soil quality.  Companion planting and netting help with garden pests, even with hand picking caterpillars small holes on my greens are unavoidable, but I believe my ‘holey Kale’ tastes even better and is preferable to sprayed supermarket veg.

A variety of seasonal quality vegetables and herbs are available for 6 months of the year. All the veg in the bags are grown on the plot and picked to order guaranteeing utmost freshness. Nothing is bought in from elsewhere if it is not ready to pick it won’t be in the bag!
